EFT

EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE
I have had my first session of EFT this morning.
It seems so simple, and it is something we can do on ourselves or with friends.
So I have taken the step to read the download of the manual which I found on the above website.
I have just practised on my husband who found it a little amusing coming from me. I must admit I need to practise quite a bit more and maybe read the bit on sceptics!
My Friend and ICA collegue Claire Molinard is training also to use EFT within coaching, on the telephone. I will be very interested to see how this works. She is also hoping to do her research paper on the subject so I shall persuade her to share it with us.
Check out the website.
There are also some interesting video clips on http://youtube.com/

Christine Lewicki

Yesterday, I had the honour to spend 90 minutes with a very lovely person called Chistine Lewicki.
She is already a certified coach after training with the same school as me.
She lives mainly in Los Angeles but is French so spends a couple of months a year here and is setting up her coaching business between both countries.
I learnt so much during my time with her, which if I set the scene was in a harbour side coffee shop in the old port of La Rochelle on a beautiful summers day, without our children.
For me it was fantastic to meet another coach face to face and see a professional in action.
I had organised the meeting with her not really knowing why but knowing that if I did'nt go I would never know. I had no expectations.
I did however expect that Christine and I would be on an equal level but it soon became her the coach and me the client. I felt after a while uncomfortable with this wondering what she was getting from our meeting and said so. Christine reassured me that day but summed it up beautifully the next day when she sent me a message saying . I had a lovely time yesterday and thank you for being so honest and showing me your beauty - It was a gift.
How cool is that.
I got alot of practical advice too and Christine if you are reading this I have stopped saying I need, just as you requested.
I encourage everyone of you to try life coaching after my time with Christine I have proof it really can work.

Overwhelmed

This is my word for today.
As a society we seem to be feeling overwhelmed a lot.
I was looking at that as quite negative but after googling the word and looking in the dictionary and reflecting for a while I see that to be overwhelmed is just a state of mind.
For example I am feeling overwhelmed by my summer full of visitors and the fact that I am also wanting to graduate with ICA this December - meaning all my work has to be in and done by October.
Having visitors is fantastic I love it. It is my family and friends, and coaching is my passion and chosen new career. It is what I have chosen to have in my life right now. So its a case of recognising this feeling of being overwhelmed and working out a balance and setting some structures. As long as I am moving forward with my ICA work - I am happy, and as long as I get to spend quality time with my loved ones- I am even happier.
So here I am taking advantage of the grandparents who can look after the kids and I am going to spend one hour doing ICA work and then the rest of the day guilt free enjoying my family.
Phew, got that off my chest - now I am off to action what I just wrote.

Anticancer_a new way of life

What a lovely man.

David Servan-Schreiber

This man keeps popping up in my life!

He has written a book called Anticancer: A new way of life.

Apparently there is an interesting study on how talking helped women with breast cancer, which I would like to more about. When I have received my copy I will be able to quote it better.

This article below explains alot about him and what he is teaching.
