Explain the key differences between coaching and mentoring

Both coaching and mentoring are a process to help a client reach their full potential.
The differences occur in the relationships between the coach and client, and mentor and client.
A mentor is usually a role model, someone older and more experienced especially in the domain the client wants to work on. They may offer advice and guidance and share their knowledge.
A coach is more on an even keel with their client. It is a one to one relationship where the client and the coach are equal. The coach works more on the basis that the client has the answers within and therefore their job is to use various tools, intuition and questions to help find the answers and put them in to action.
